Welcome to the official guide
to The Lake District, Cumbria

The Government has told all of us to stay at home and to reduce our day-to-day contact with other people, in order to protect the NHS and to help save lives.

This includes all visitors and second home-owners, and we are urging everyone at this time to act responsibly and to stay in their primary residence.

This is hugely important for Cumbria and its ‘super-ageing’ population, not only to limit the spread of the virus but to safeguard local health services which are likely to be under immense pressure just servicing those local residents’ needs.

If you have ANY holiday accommodation booked in the coming weeks, please contact your booking agent directly. For anyone postponing their visit, we look forward to welcoming you in happier times.

We have prepared some Frequently Asked Questions to help answer some of the questions around bookings and planned visits. View the FAQs here.

Anybody with concerns over their own health, or any questions about the Coronavirus, please use the NHS website. Regular updates from the UK Government can be found here.
